Aug 15, 2016 2:06 PM in response to clausfromritterhudeby jdo_apple,Hello clausfromritterhude,
Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important understanding Apple School Manager since updating is to you! Per this article from Apple:
Upgrade your institution to Apple School Manager
Based on what you stated, this is expected behavior to not be able to log into the DEP (Device Enrollment Program). Here is a quote:
“After you complete the upgrade, you will use the Apple School Manager portal to access your data. You won’t have access to the Apple Deployment Programs website after you upgrade.”

Aug 20, 2016 3:30 AM in response to jdo_appleby Erik Ohms,As school administrator I want to change the telephone number for receiving two step verification codes to enter School Manager. I cannot change this by editing my Apple ID, if I try that outside of DEP/VPP/Apple school manager I get a message stating that this service is not available for a managed Apple ID. But within School manager all I can do with my Apple ID is see the username. I cannot change anything.

Aug 23, 2016 5:29 AM in response to clausfromritterhudeby Erik Ohms,I contacted apple support. They told me to log into icloud with my managed apple id preferrably on a managed device. There I was able to go into the password settings for the managed account and to add a new telephone number for receiving the verification codes.
Note that i had to have access to the old telephone number to be able to receive a verification code before I could change any password info and before I could add a new number.
But it worked. Maybe sometime soon apple will make changing this easier from ASM.
