Q: iPod won't fully start up please help!
So at first, my iPod randomly restarted and showed me the "Hello" lockscreen that you usually have when you get a new product. After unlocking my iPod with my passcode, it immediately showed me a screen asking for my Apple ID and password. After putting in my password, it took my to my normal home screen as if nothing happened. And then it automatically went back to the "Hello" screen. It happened every time I put in my Apple ID. So I restarted it by holding the sleep and home buttons, but it only showed me the apple logo for about a minute and then it shuts back off. After plugging it into my computer iTunes told me I had to either update or restore my iPod. After choosing the option to update it says it can't be updated. I haven't backed up my iPod in a while and I don't want to lose any of my data by restoring it. After i tried restarting my iPod again, the Apple logo comes up and then the iTunes and charger symbol screen pop up. Please help!

You will have to restore the iPod via iTunes and restore from the last backup your have.
For how to restore:
Use iTunes to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings
To restore from backup see:
Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
