Q: How to stop automatically switching WiFi networks

At my place I have two different routers, one for upstairs and then one that I use for my business downstairs. I'm having the issue that when I'm downstairs working and on my business wifi, I'll be randomly kicked off and rejoined on to my upstairs one.

I'm hoping to find a way that when I select to join my downstairs network I will stay on that until either leave the vicinity of the two or manually switch back to the upstairs.

Let me know if you have any ideas!

System Preferences/Network/WI-Fi/Advanced - you can set your desired order there. It sounds like if you made the downstairs the top priority, you could manually switch when upstairs. You may have to rearrange them to match where you are.
