Q: Is there a new way to remove a Wireless Sync computer without the computer?

The old way is TERRIBLE you start over basically with your settings...

This was the method I know:

    1. Settings
    2. General
    3. Reset
    4. Reset All Settings
    5. Let the phone reboot
    6. Connect to wireless to activate the device.

Doing this keeps all data, apps, mail, etc on the device. You now have the option to plug the iPhone into a computer to perform a Wireless Sync.

This is the only way I know short wiping the phone.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7), E-mail not recieving.

What happens if you uncheck "Sync with this computer over Wi-Fi" as shown in this article? Does that do it? Or are you saying that you no longer have that computer and are now stuck?

This is only something you can do from the iTunes software on the computer. It is not an option from iDevices. So since the computer is no longer available, there is no way to uncheck it. It really makes things much more painful than they need to be.

    Hello,

If you no longer have access to the computer in question, then you may wish to consider disassociating the computer in question from the list of devices associated with your Apple ID. You have two options, which I will detail below.

    1) From the iTunes application on your Mac or PC, click on "Account" then select "View My Account". After you have entered your login credentials, you will be taken to an account information summary page. Scroll down until you reach the section labeled "iTunes in the Cloud". Under that section you will see an option labeled "Manage Devices". From the page that follows, you will be able to remove the computer that is set for wireless syncing with your iPhone.

    2) You may instead opt to visit https://apple.appleid.com and log in to manage your devices. Once you have logged in, you will see a section labeled "Devices". Under that section, you will see blue text that says "View Details". Click on that text and you will be prompted to answer two security questions that you have previously established. Once you have completed the security check, you will be able to see a list of all of the devices currently associated with your Apple ID. Simply select the computer in question, and click "Remove <insert device name>"

    Best of luck to you

Thanks Macology - Does that remove it from the list on the phone though?

You are very welcome. To answer your query, I am not sure if the procedures I have recommended will remove the items from being listed under iTunes Sync on your iPhone. But I would certainly appreciate you sharing the end results to this thread so that I will have an answer for the next time someone finds themselves with your particular question.

    Best of luck
