Q: I cannot connect a turtle beach px51 to my Apple Tv

I can connect my iPad and iPhone to my turtle beach Bluetooth headset however on my Apple tv generation 4 it will not connect. It comes up and sees the device however when I go to pair it, it quickly want me to put in a passcode then comes up with an error that it is not in range. The two devices are next to each other.

Apple TV (4th generation), iOS 9.3.4
