Q: iPod sound wont turn off completely
When I go to the settings to turn down the sound, it will stay one spot ahead of the "zero" spot, if that makes sense. I will slide it back down to zero but when i reopen the app its back at the "one" spot. I used the drag-up (i dont know the names of anything sorry) menu at the bottom to slide the sound down, and it goes all the way down but i still get notification sounds. I used the buttons, but no matter how many times I press the buttons it won't mute completely. please help?
iPod touch (5th generation), iOS 8.1

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204184
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
