Q: Photo info

On my MacBook Pro I can view or add info to a photo using the "info" icon in Photos but cannot find this on my iPad Pro, any ideas or am I just missing something ?

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.5), iPhoto 11 ( 9.4.3 )

You are not missing anything....     That is the the way all iOS devices behave by design. There are 3rd party apps that will let you do that but not the native Photos App.

Thanks elcpu, you would think there would be some continuity between the Apple systems to allow the photo info ( date taken, camera used, aperture, lens etc ) to be shared across the devices. I am using the iPad more and more now for adding my pics and it is very annoying not being able to access this info.

You are welcome Tanto.   I fully agree with you. The metadata, like f stop, ISO, camera etc., is shared but not displayed, i.e., if you transfer photos to your iPad and then copy them to another device, the metadata will still be there. The iOS Photos App is not very robust, hopefully the next version will be better. iPads are very good, I have one myself, but they are no match for a computer yet. In fact I am responding to you on a MBP....
