Q: iMessage is still unreliable since 2012
Reading about the unreliability of iMessage, it seems to be happening since 2012.
Did the Yosemite upgrade to 10.10.5 not do anything to make it more reliable? My issue is
it sends okay from my computer, but am told that a message has been texted to me,
but I don't receive it on my MacBook Air iMessage application. Is it something to do
with it being sent from an iPhone to a MacBook Air (mid 2013)?
OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

If the message was a text message that was sent to you, Messages won't receive it unless you have an iPhone set up to relay the text message to your computer.
