Q: Partition Chaos after deleting boot camp partition

hello guys,

after i was updating win10 with the new update... which was a bad idea... i tried to make a clean install of it.
after failing hard to do this, im really stuck and dont know what to do:

boot camp doesnt let me delete it, they 3rd option is always greyed out. so i deletet it with the disk tool and tried to install win10 via boot camp several times - it doesnt work because always is something worng with the partition i chose in the install.

no i think i really messed up my partitions and i really dont know what to do anymore, so i post this:

Disconnect the external disk(s) till Windows is fully installed.  If you are prompted for a USB, use only a flash drive, not a USB HDD.

You seem to have erased the BC partition using Disk Utility, which is not a good idea. Do not mix BC Assistant and Disk Utility.

Run the following two procedures after each failed attempt.

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

In the current state, the disk1s4-disk1s7 need to be merged into a single FAT32 partition, if you want to re-use it for BC/Windows.

thank you for you quick response!

after 12 hours of tryin to fix this, my brain is a bit melted - so i try to get a to-do list right:

    1. i try to merge the disks you told me (how?)

    2. i try to get boot camp to grey out the 3rd button?!

    3. try to install it when 1 and 2 worked

for me it would help much to understand why boot camp greys out the 3rd point and why windows cant be installed after i partition a disk into ntfs. the 3rd point was already greyed out before i deleted the bc partition... (i dunno exaclty if this is related)

    also sorry for my english

Merge partitions after converting them to HFS+. FAT partitions cannot be merged.

         diskutil eraseVolume jhfs+ PT1 disk1s4

         diskutil eraseVolume jhfs+ PT2 disk1s5

         diskutil eraseVolume jhfs+ PT3 disk1s6

         diskutil mergePartitions jhfs+ BCMP disk1s4 disk1s7

         diskutil eraseVolume fat32 BOOTCAMP disk1s4

    Please post the output of

         sudo fdisk /dev/disk1

    2. i try to get boot camp to grey out the 3rd button?!

Is this the Install/Remove button in BC Assistant?

Are you using the Windows Installer to format the partition to NTFS, or is it a different tool?
