Q: Portrait Mode pictures not showing.
Have just discovered that most photos imported from iPhoto to Photos in Portrait Mode are not displaying. There is the photo frame containing a triangle with exclamation mark. There appears to also be a few not showing in Landscape Mode. Double clicking will open up the photograph correctly.
I have found that by selecting the "photograph" and rotating anti-clockwise and then rotating clockwise, the photograph shows correctly. I presume these photographs were rotated in iPhoto after being imported from the camera. I can only presume that some data was not transferred correctly when the iPhoto Library was changed to Photos.
Has anyone else seen this and is there a simple cure without having to go through the whole lot manually (I realise it will be quicker to select all the faulty ones and just do the anti-clockwise/clockwise bit once but I have already found some of the photo frames to be blank so I still have to compare with the iPhoto Library)?
Thanks
TY

No - you can do it in large batches (up to about 1000 images) -- How to Rebuild Thumbnails in a Photos Library
