Q: Sync multiple apple devises but not losing ripped music in the process

Currently I have 4 apple devices but they are not in sync.  I am trying to figure out how to sync one of my IPads that has all the music i've ripped on their as well as purchases.  If I plug in my IPad to sync with the ITunes then ITunes will override what is on my IPad and I will lose all of what I have updated on the IPad.  How do I get all of my stuff from the IPad into Itunes so that I can then have all my music listed in Itunes correctly without losing it all?

iPhone 4S, iOS 6, Just did the upgrade to the 6 iOS.

Your post is quite confusing because you posted in the iTunes Match community.  From your post, it's not at all clear if you are even an iTunes Match subscriber.

But it seems like your fundamental question could be answered this way:  iOS devices are merely transports for, and never primary sources for, music.  Assuming you are not an iTunes Match subscriber, or at the very least that you have music you somehow transported to your iPad that is nowhere else in your collection, you should be prepared to lose it and have to re-rip it.  Music flows from iTunes on a computer (and/or the iTunes Store) to other devices.  It does not flow the other way.
