Q: itunes/Apps tore verification error after 9.3.4 update

I updated my iPad 2 to v9.3.4 yesterday.  now when I try to sign in to iTunes and App Store I get a verification error.  I have logged in to the support site successfully, so I know I am using the correct Apple ID and password.  I changed my password anyway (as I noticed a posting saying that this might sort things out) but it made no difference and I am unable to successfully verify my account, so I cannot get any updates or download apps etc.  Talk about frustrating!!!

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue / is this a know problem with the upgrade?

Thanks,

Andy

    Hi andykerrc,

Thanks for checking out the Apple Support Communities! I understand you're getting an error when trying to sign in to the iTunes Store after updating the software on your iPad. I love being able to download new apps and games to my iPad and I can see how this could be frustrating. I'm happy to offer some suggestions!

I recommend to take a look at the troubleshooting steps in the article below. Though your specific error message isn't listed, these steps can help when you run in to any errors when trying to connect to the iTunes Store. You'll want to pay special attention to the section titled 'Fix the issue on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch'.

If you can’t connect to the iTunes Store - Apple Support

In addition to those steps, I also recommend to try connecting to the iTunes Store while connected to a different Wi-Fi network or to a cellular service network, if your iPad also has cellular capabilities. This can help rule out any issues with the network that you're currently connected to.

    Take care.

    HI...

I logged in yesterday successfully from a different location. So maybe it was the fact I was using a different wireless connection (seems strange if it was) or maybe there was a temporary problem with authentication server on Apple's side.  Either way it seems to have sorted itself out.

    Many thanks for your reply.

    Regards,
