Q: trackpad behaving very erratically

My Mac Pro is acting very erratically; the cursor seems to select avery in its path,; I am beginning to think it is the Trackpad, has anybody experienced this unstable behavior due to the TrackPad and any way to correct it?

Any information on the subject would be much appreciated .

    Hello bilesco,

I see Apple may have beaten me to it.   I suggest you review the link in blue immediately above your name.   Usually, if there is a separate trackpad and people upgrade an old machine, the explanation will lie in the old trackpad.   But I'm assuming you are talking about the built in trackpad.

I followed the information on HT203171, which mainly was cleaning the trackpad with Weiman e-Tronic wipes

designed to clean electronic equipment and that seemed to have alleviated the problem.

Thanks so much for your help.
