Q: my I phone 6 touch screen is not responding

my 18 month old $800 I phone 6 has an unresponsive touch screen. I reset it to the factory settings and that did not help. It is no longer under warranty. It sounds like this is a common problem. My best option is to replace it. Why should I waste my money on another defective Apple product?  This needs to be made public knowledge if Apple is going to sell expensive junk
