Q: Problem with netflix on Apple TV 4

I just bought a new Apple TV 4 to replace the previous version I owned for a year. The thing is, from time to time I can't even connect to my Netflix profile page (a problem I never had before).The loading starts (red circle in the middle of black screen, with the name Netflix in the  bottom right corner), but freezes until it sends me back to the apple TV menu. My only solution is to completely disconnect internet and to relaunch. Then it works for a couple of days, until doesn't. Same problem always comes back. I plugged my Apple TV 3 back: no problem.

 

Anyon else had that problem ? And a solution ?

    First, this is just a user forum, not Apple. All we can do is suggest things you've probably already tried. Unless another user happens to see this and has already fixed it.

     

    Note that, when the app crashes, it's probably still running, just unable to update the foreground screen. If you double click the Home button, you'll see the app chooser, and you can force quit the app by swiping it off the top of the screen using the remote touchpad. If you restart it after this, it should work more repeatably. Could you try logging out of your NetFlix account, then logging back in?

    Diana, I know this are just user forums, and I have made Apple aware of the issue via a support ticket. An yes I've tried logging out and back in. No luck so far.
    I'll keep you posted in case i have any news from Apple or Netflix.
    In the meantime I am going to downgrade to 9.2.1 to do some more testing

    Apparently it was my Airport Extreme router causing Netflix to crash.  Other minor network problems gave me reason to suspect it was failing.  It was three years old.  I replaced it with an ASUS router and my Netflix problems are gone and so are my other network problems.

    Still having problems with Netflix.  Replacing my router reduced frequency of the problem.  My Apple TV is more than five years old.  Considering buying latest Apple TV to fix the problem.
