Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! It seems like you're husband has created a family group which is slightly different than Home Sharing. Home Sharing lets you share and stream content from your computer’s iTunes library to other computers, iOS devices, and Apple TVs. If the iTunes library is yours and iTunes Match is also yours, it may be more beneficial to have you as the family organizer. Here's a little information on how they all tie in together:
Use Home Sharing to share iTunes content with other devices
Have a phenomenal day!

In this particular situation, your husband will simply invite you to his Family Sharing group. Once you're invited use these references to share your purchased content:
Share purchased content with Family Sharing
Get your music collection on all of your devices
Because Family Sharing only allows you to share purchased content from the iTunes Store, you may want to also share your imported CD's and additional music with him. If that's the case, your husband would be able to sync his phone with your library:
Move content from iTunes on your computer to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
With the above method, remember that any prior media content on your husbands device will be removed. If he has his own purchases, he can certainly redownload those after the sync, directly from the purchased tab within the iTunes Store application.
All the best!
