Q: Transferring pictures (events) from iPhone 6Plus to a hard disc
I used to synchronise photos through iTunes to iPhotos folder in an external hard disc connect dot Mac Air. When ever i have new photos taken on my iPhone I used to transfer them to iPhotos on hard disc and organs them in separate events. Then I used to synchronise the photos (events) to my iPhone through iTunes.
Recently I have lost my hard disc. I created iPhoto folder on my new hard disc. It is working fee as far as transferring my photos on iPhone to the iPhotos folders. But it does not transfer the photos already existing in events on my iPhone to hard disc. I am unable to find a way.
I tried to used iCloud to synchronise iPhoto library. It does not allow the photos already synchronised with tunes to be transferred to iCloud
I have altogether 18000 photos organised in 20 events. If I loose my iPhone all these photos will be lost for ever. Thus i am very concerned
Appreciate for the help
iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 8.4, IMEI ****

Hi Ratnagopal, my friend Demo contacted me on this. I wrote the User Tip he linked above. However I am not sure I understand your question, at least not completely. Are you using iCloud Photo Library or any of its cousins (Photostream or Photo Share)? If you are using iCPL, different procedures would apply, may want to refer to this Apple article about iCPL.
iCloud Photo Library - Apple Support
If the photos are now in albums on your iPhone, did you sync them from the computer to the iPhone? If so the User Tip may help (if you are not using iCPL). The U.T. would allow you to make copies of your photos into Camera Roll which would further allow you to import them back to the computer by following these steps.
Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If none of this helps, just post back with more details so we can help you. Good luck.
