Q: Hello, Any chance to upgrade from os x mavericks on my iMac to os x yosemite.

Hello, i have os x mavericks on my imac and i'd like to get os x yosemite, so i can purchase Final Cut Pro X.

However FCP X will work only for OS systems running from 10.10.4 and up, which would be fine for El Capitain, but...

I cannot upgrade to El Capitan (10.11.x) because my pro tools 11 system will only work up to Yosemite 10.10.5

Do you see my problem here?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apple no longer ships any version of Yosemite.

So i have heard, but is there possible any other solution? Like, maybe being able to purchase an earlier version of Final Cut Pro X?

Basically, i would like to keep my Pro Tools 11 AND be able to get a Final Cut Pro X program running on my Maverick 10.9.5 system.

Kind of pulling my hair out at the moment trying to figure out any kind of solution at all.

Contact the developer of Final Cut Pro X to see if they will sell you an earlier version.
