Q: Export books in Ibooks

I have some iBooks that I want to export to my Kobo e reader. (I also use Calibre to sort and transfer my books.) Previous answers have said the books are held in Documents/iBooks but I do not have that directory. When I open iBooks I can see the books on screen with the top left note iBooks

Thanks in anticipation

Normally, iBooks files are stored at this location:

    ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks/Books

You can copy and paste this into the Finder search field.

Thanks for the prompt response. I am new to Apple but I have found the library directory and don't have a containers sub directory.

There are multiple Libraries, one for the computer in general and one for each user account. The tilde in the path is a symbol for your user account. Copy and paste...

If there's still nothing in your Library folder, try looking in the iTunes folder.

If these are books in the .ibooks format, or if they have been purchased from Apple's iBookstore, they can normally only be read on an Apple device.

Hi, From the Main Macintosh HD I have a Library directory, it has no containers directory, nor has the Library off the System Directory, nor does my user account off the macintosh HD/Users/myname

Guess I'm fated not to read them.

    Thanks for your help
