Q: iCloud full storage and accidental deletion of photos

Whenever iCloud storage is full and you want to get rid of photos that iCloud can't save anymore, you'll be asked if you want to delete the photos immediately.

I decided to vacate some iCloud space by sending some photos to my email and then deleted those photos from my library.

When I found out that the photos haven't been sent at all - How could that be since the message was sent successfully - and I just deleted my unsaved photos from my library, I knew I was in deep.

If my email won't come, is there a way to recover deleted photos that iCloud can no longer upload because of full storage?

    MadonnaFan785463,

Thanks for stopping by the Apple Support Communities. I understand you want to try to recover some photos that were deleted. I know it is important to try to get those photos back. I will be happy to provide some information on this.

This article, Manage your iCloud storage, has information on how to optimize storage.

You can recover photos and videos that you delete from your Recently Deleted album for 30 days. If you want to remove content from your Recently Deleted album faster, tap Select, then select the items you want to remove. Tap Delete > Delete. If you exceed your iCloud storage limit, your device immediately removes any photos and videos you delete and they won't be available for recovery in your Recently Deleted album.

    Have a great day!
