Q: strange windows popping up in Safari.opening on its own

Why are strange windows popping up in Safari? I shut it down and it opens on it's own. More and more tabs open constantly. Safari is rendered worthless. Using Chrome is impossible because Safari keeps opening strange windows with adserve., setcookie 1 and others.
