Aug 24, 2016 7:16 PM in response to cjwjby john buck1,i'm going to assume you have tried this -
If you're using USB Playback
- Restart your iOS device and your car.
- Connect your iOS device to a different stereo USB port (if you have one).
- Try a different USB cable.
- Update your iOS device.
- Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.
- Try playing audio from a different app. If you can't play audio from a specific third-party app, contact the app developer for help. If you can't play audio from an Apple app, contact Apple Support.
i tried them and still had "USB Unreadable"
My Volvo V60- 2016. My phone iPhone SE 2016
New phone, new car.
Try this.
Connect phone with USB lead.
in My Media tap on AUX. Try to connect. Quit out
Try connecting to HD ( Hard drive)
Tap import. Quit out. Re-try USB.
Worked for me, may work for you.
It seems to re-set the Volvo internal access to the phone
Good luck
