Q: 3d

If I have a .m4v file that contains a 3d movie, can I add it to My Library in iTunes and play it on a 3d TV using AppleTV fourth generation?

Mac mini, OS X Mavericks (10.9), 2.6 GHz Quad Core i7, 16 GB, 256 SS

Not sure, the best thing to do would be to try. The Apple TV 4 is capable of playing 3d content (there are some 3d games available, whether your specific movie and/or it's format are supported or not I couldn't say.

I'll give it a try. m4v is the format for iTunes video files.

I'm aware of that, but there are different profiles and complexity levels, the Apple TV won't play them all.
