Q: Health & Exercise Data not responding.

My apple watch has been buggy since midnight on Saturday 8-20-16.  I work overnights so I noticed right when it turned 12am when the stand/move/exercise data usually resets on this night the data reset and then automatically went to the following stats Move 708/ Exercise 0/ Stand 5.  This is not possible as I could have not earned those move kcal in that short amount of time. Throughout the day on Saturday the watch continued to track all three goals as normal never correcting itself.  I continued to complete the stand goal of 12 hours but on the phone app it highlighted 12 hours but read I only stood for 10 hours.

I set up a chat with apple support and they walked me through "un-pairing" and "re-pairing" my watch to the iphone, this did nothing.  At midnight on Sunday 8-21-16 the watch reset the statistics as normal and I figured it was just a one time bug, nope! Same exact thing happened on Monday night going into Tuesday midnight.  As soon as it turned midnight on Tuesday morning the data read Move 708/Exercise 0/ Stand 5.  Along with the false data it lost my data from the night before.  This is all frustrating as I am really big on continuing my move streak (81 days) which is now lost do to the data being erased.

I have a Genius Bar appointment in a few days that I hope can reslove this if not the watch is still under warranty but if anyone else is having similar issues and had them corrected please respond.  Thanks for your help.

    Hi

    The following steps may help:

    • If you have ever (not necessarily recently) used any third-party fitness tracking apps to record activity / workouts on your watch:
      • On your watch: check whether there is presently a paused activity within any of those apps. If there is, end that activity from within that app on your watch (not on your iPhone).
      • If in doubt, it may help to remove the third-party fitness app from your watch:
        • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > scroll down and tap on the app name > turn off Show App on Apple Watch.
    • Also check for similar issues in any third-party apps that you may (ever) have used on your iPhone.
    • Close all open apps on your iPhone:
      • Double-click the Home button, then swipe up on each app preview to close it.
    • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch > Privacy > Motion & Fitness - turn Fitness Tracking off.
    • Restart both devices by turning both off together, then restarting your iPhone first:
    • Re-enable Fitness Tracking (step 4).

Thanks Jonathan, I was hoping you would respond as I have seen you help other users.  I do use a couple of 3rd party apps (Nike Run, My fitness pal). Whats confusing is the 1st time this happened the watch re-synced itself and worked fine, the second time around it still has not corrected the lost data which concerns me most as I'm worried that this can become an ongoing issue.

I did try restarting the devices but still no luck, I'll update if anything else changes.
