Aug 25, 2016 5:47 AM in response to gtpooleltcby King_Penguin,What happens, if you are getting an error message what does it say ? And this is signing in from scratch, you aren't still signed into the account and are just being prompted to enter the account's password ?

My Apple ID and password work fine except when I try to download an app. WiFi works fine, date and time are correct. When I enter my Apple ID and password to enter the iTunes Store I get the following: "Cannot connect to iTunes Store "

- disconnected and reconnected to your network
- closed the iTunes Store app (if that is where you are trying to log in, otherwise Settings / App Store app) via the iPad's taskbar
- done a soft-reset/reboot of the iPad
