Q: Siri & Voice Control going crazy when out running with headphones
Has anyone else experienced a combination of Siri (and after I turned Siri off) then Voice Control going a bit haywire? This occurs when I'm out running, I have my iPhone 6plus in an armband and I'm generally using a couple of running apps (Strava & MapMyRun) and trying to listen to some music. I say trying because recently Siri kept turning on without my activation. I disable Siri and then went on another run and Voice Control rendered music playback useless. The effect, apart from interrupting music playback, was to skip songs, fast forward and generally make listening to music impossible.
Initially I thought it might have been my armband pressing on the buttons somehow but after some tests I've ruled that out. I'm guessing it must be something to do with the headphones but can't figure out what has affected them to have an effect on this problem. They used to work fine.

Thought I'd share some feedback. The fault was with the headphones. Must have been faulty wiring or some type of damage which was feeding back through the headphone socket and sending Siri crazy. A new pair of headphones has done the trick and once again I can listen to my music whilst out running. I've deliberately chosen headphones without a inbuilt mic this time. After all, I'm not really going to take a call when I'm huffing and puffing on a run and hopefully that might mean this pair last longer.
Also, handy tip, might be worth checking the headphone port for a build up of lint. I used a wooden cocktail stick to fish any debris out.
