Aug 25, 2016 10:57 PM in response to splogcooperby LarryHN,When you change the path to the iPhoto Library you do NOT import anything - you simply open the iPhoto library at the new path (hold down the option key while launching iPhoto adn use the select library window to select the new location
organization like albums are part of the library - importing only gives you selected copies of the Photos with limited metadata and no organization

Aug 26, 2016 12:51 AM in response to splogcooperby Terence Devlin,Are you running a Managed or a Referenced Library?
A Managed Library, is the default setting, and iPhoto copies files into the iPhoto Library when Importing. The files are then stored in the Library package
A Referenced Library is when iPhoto is NOT copying the files into the iPhoto Library when importing because you made a change at iPhoto -> Preferences -> Advanced. (You unchecked the option to copy files into the Library on import) The files are then stored where ever you put them and not in the Library package. In this scenario you are responsible for the File Management.
If it's a referenced library then restore the path to what iPhoto is expecting.
