Q: Is there a remote control that turns on a Mac Pro?

Greetings. Our music lab just received three new Mac Pros (the Coffee canister style) among all the models.

Very nice, but the power button is exceptionally awkward to find, especially when one finishes plugging in all the peripherals. Since more than just myself will be turning the units on, I ask the question:

is there a (physical) remote control that actually turns the unit on, as opposed to those (including Apple's) that simply negotiate media utilities and such.

Any comments appreciated.

Regards,

There is no way to turn on remotely.

You can use the Scheduler in Energy Saver to turn the Mac on at a specified time.

You can also just have the Mac Power Nap/sleep (in Energy Saver) and then just wake the Mac with keyboard or mouse when you want to use it.

That is what I do with my Macs

    Thanks, IIIaass.

This was helpful - different from what I was hoping for, but still quite helpful.

    Thank you,
