Q: Error Message (9)....not hardware, right?

The Genius Bar said (9) was hardware and sent me away after waiting three days for an apt.  But I read it was related to a security software issue which I believe was caused by my recent update.  Should that mean a replacement?

I feel mad that it read something different than what I was told and instead they talked about me buying a new phone.

Thoughts?

Thanks, Eric
