Q: APP1970

How do I remove the notification of an update from my iPhone 5 (OSX 9.3.4) when the update is no longer supported? I removed the app from the phone to my cloud (with all the purchased apps), and the red notification of an update remains. It seems like the app needs to be removed from the cloud purchases too? How do I do that? When I try to reload it to my phone from the cloud, the flag comes out that this app is not supported by this phone.  When I go to the APP store for an update, none are indicated.  Yet in the cloud, update is necessary to a nonsupported phone?

Tap Settings > Notifications then tap the app then toggle Badge App Icon to OFF.

Since I removed the app to the cloud, it is no longer on the iPhone to even find it in Notifications (not there to stop badges).  Still looking for a way to get rid of the bogus Notification of an unavailable App Update :-(.  Thanks for you try though, you were the first to try to help.

I find your explanation of the issue confusing. You have deleted the app in question from your iPhone. But the remainder of your explanation I don't inderstand.

How do you know that the update badge that you see on the App Store app is for this particular app? Please provide screenshots of the issue.

BTW, if you haven't done so, please update iOS 9 with yesterday's important security update to iOS 9.3.5.

The badge for the update disappeared before I could take a shot or two.  Good advise!  Must have automatically resolved (with about 24 hours). I also updated the OSX at your suggestion.  Thanks for your efforts to help.  Maybe it wasn't an issue after all.
