Q: Upgrading 10.6.8 to lion 10.8.5
Hello Guys,
Greetings !
I am using MacBook having snow leopard 10.6.8 , now I am upgrading to lion 10.8.5 . My Mac have 8gb of ram & 250gb hard disk. Is my mac run smoothly with lion or I have to use only 10.6.8 OS X.
All suggestion & advices are welcome..

Lion is 10.7.5, Mountain Lion is 10.8.5, so I'm not sure which one you're planning an upgrading to. Regardless, 8GB of RAM should be plenty for running either of those versions.
However, some of your apps might be incompatible or behave differently after upgrading. You can check here for compatibility: https://roaringapps.com/apps.
If you upgrade and find that the performance of your Mac is not as good, you can run EtreCheck after upgrading, and post the report in a thread here, and someone can help you figure out the cause: http://etresoft.com/etrecheck. However, I suspect that the performance should be just fine after upgrading.
