Q: Horizontal pink lines show up sporadically on iPhone 6, as well as impaired touch screen function
I've had my iPhone 6 for quite some time now, and never had an issue with it before. Until now. A month or two ago, my phone randomly started to fill in only white spaces on the screen with glitchy-looking pink, horizontal lines. I haven't ever dropped it in a way severe enough to do damage, and even then, that was well before the screen stopped working. I also didn't drop it in water or anything like that. Progressively the pink lines are starting to show up more and more frequently. When these lines occur, the screen sometimes doesn't work when trying to type, click on things, open apps, screen use in general, etc. Then, out of nowhere, they just go away. I've seen a few posts about vertical lines or vertical blue lines, but nothing about pink horizontal ones with impaired touch-screen usage.
Help would be much appreciated!

Hi
First consider trying the following steps:
- If you have not yet done so, update your iPhone to the latest software:
- Back up your iPhone (you may wish to encrypt the backup, if using iTunes), restore it to factory settings (with a fresh copy of iOS) and check whether the issue persists before restoring from backup:
The steps here may also help:
If the issue persists (or if you would prefer to skip directly to this step), contact Apple Support (mail-in service may be available) or make a Genius Bar reservation with a view to having your iPhone checked and, if recommended by Apple, serviced (potentially via chargeable repair service):
- Contact - Official Apple Support
- https://twitter.com/applesupport
I'm afraid that no-one here can you what Apple will decide. You are not talking to Apple here - this is a user-based community.
