Q: How do i stop myPodcast episodes from getting mixed up as music
Hi I was wondering if you could help me out. You see when I connect my iPod to my car
The podcast spisodes come out in the song menu and I was wondering if there is away to prevent that. Because I like to listen to my music alone without worrying if a podcast episode will come on and it's not in the order of the episodes that I need to listen to. For example I could be listening to three songs and next thing I know episode 10 of a certain podcast comes on and haven't even heard the ones before it.

If the car audio system does the song playing (not the iPod), and the iPod just acts as a media storage device, you'll need to consult the docs for the car audio system. The car audio system is controlling playback, and it needs to distinguish between songs and podcasts, based on how the media is stored on the iPod.
If the car audio system is not "smart" enough, does the car audio system recognize playlists on the iPod? If so, you can create a playlist on the iPod that only has songs. Depending on how you sync the iPod, a smart playlist (in iTunes) may be able do this for you automatically.
Alternately, if the car audio system has an auxiliary audio input (normally looks like a headphones jack), you can play the iPod through your car audio system. Then, the iPod IS doing the song playing, and it knows the difference between a song and podcast.
