Q: Numbers

Currently taking a molecular biology course and have made a BSA standard curve to measure protein concentration in an unknown sample.  After making the graph, how do I add the data points for the standard deviations?  I tried sharing the X axis but was uncertain how to proceed.

Thanks for your help.

    Hi jonelle,

Please paste your data table (delete any personal information) to show from where you are starting, and insert a screen shot of your graph.

More information will lead to a solution .

    Regards,

    Ian.

    Hi,

Here is my table and screen shot of graph.

We were instructed to include standard deviations of the absorbance values in the graph.

    Hi jonelle,

Edit: My region uses dot "." for the decimal point. Ian.

Column A of the table is not a Header Column, even though it looks grey when selected (I consider that to be a poor user interface feature ).

Click on the graph, then click on the Series (line)

Y axis Error Bars and click on Custom Values, then Column C for Positive and Negative

    Hi Ian,

Is there a way that I can extend the trend line over the Y axis?  I want to reach the x axis on the negative side.   My numbers table is below.

    Thanks.

    Jonelle
