Q: How to delete photos in photos on El Capitan

Hi Everyone,

I was just trying to figure out how to permanently delete photo's in El Capitan on my Macbook Pro

Before I could go to File >> Show Recently Deleted

And then delete the photo's I just deleted.

Now I go there and the options is not there.

Does anyone know how to permanently delete photos?

Thank you

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

I have my photos in albums, but it wouldn't give me the option to find a picture from an album.  It just showed the whole photo library.  That what was so aggravating.  Before I updated to El Capitan and it changed from iPhoto to just Photos, it gave me the option to look in an album which made it so much easier to find the picture, but now it just brings up the whole photo gallery.  This happens when I was trying to find a picture to upload to the internet a particular photo to create a business card online.

Apple is trying to get Photos on the Mac to work the same way as Photos on an iPhone or iPad.  Sort of dumbing down to the mobile experience.

I don't know, my albums are listed on the sidebar, just like iPhoto...

Yes, I got tired of trying to struggle with Photos so have switched to Adobe Lightroom for all photo management. I guess the secret is to pick one solution and stay with it to learn all the ins and outs.
