Aug 25, 2016 12:50 PM in response to nightotterby sarah_s1,Hi nightotter,
Thanks for bringing your issue to the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I gathered that after signing up for Apple Music, when you click on Radio in iTunes on your Mac, nothing is showing under "Featured Stations", but on your iPhone you have the listings. I use Apple Music as well and I enjoy being able to select from different stations. I will be happy to help.
On the Mac, please completely quit out of iTunes by going to iTunes > Quit iTunes. Then hold the shift key down while you relaunch iTunes and see if the radio stations are now present. If the issue persists, then the next step would be to test in another user account on the Mac.
How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac
If you are still experiencing issues with the Apple Music Radio stations, please boot the Mac into safe mode and test. Please note that the audio will not work in safe mode, we are just wanting to see if you are able to see the radio stations.
Follow these steps to start up into safe mode.- Start or restart your Mac.
- Immediately after you hear the startup sound, press and hold the Shift key.
- Release the Shift key when you see the Apple logo appear on the screen.
After the Apple logo appears, it might take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your desktop. This is because your Mac performs a directory check of your startup disk as part of safe mode.
To leave safe mode, restart your computer without pressing any keys during startup.
If an issue doesn't happen in safe mode
If an issue doesn't happen when your Mac is started in safe mode, try restarting again without pressing any keys at startup. If the issue appears to be resolved when you start up normally, it was possibly caused by a cache or a directory issue with your startup disk that safe mode fixed.
If you restart your Mac normally and an issue comes back when you reach your desktop, try disabling any login items that automatically open when you log in. -
Aug 25, 2016 1:23 PM in response to sarah_s1by nightotter,Hello Sarah -
Thank you so much for the support. Unfortunately none of your suggestions worked. I tried:
- Quitting iTunes and holding down the Shift key as it loaded.
- Tried the test account
- Tried Safe Mode.
Here is an interesting note. I booted up my MacBook Air and since I was connected to the Internet iTunes noticed my new subscription and I had access to Music features, without logging in. But like my iMac, it could not see anything beyond "Featured Stations". However, when I loaded Music on my iPad Mini, like my iPhone, I could see everything.
So this seems to be a problem with MacOs and not iOS. I also imaging that there is something wrong on the server/cloud side because it I have the same problem on two different computers.
I just connected my iPad to my iMac in hopes of playing the radio through my computer, but it wouldn't.
thanks again, Sarah.

Aug 25, 2016 3:57 PM in response to nightotterby nightotter,I did find a work-around. If I tap on the radio station on my iPhone or iPad it will appear in my "Recently Played" on my Mac, so I can then listen to it on my Mac. But that drops one off my Recently Played list, so I lose a custom radio station I have made ( I can't figure out how to make a custom radio station permanent ).
I will do a clean install of the upcoming MacOS (Sierra) when it is released, maybe that will help.

As a data point...
I'm in same boat. None of the solutions worked for me either.
Agree w your take that the problem is on the server side, I'm able to see all the generic Apple Music Stations of my all my iOS devices, just not my (multiple) Macs.

Aug 27, 2016 3:33 PM in response to EsteveLby nightotter,I'm sorry you are having the same problem. For now, I am using the work-around I mentioned above. Once the new iOS and MacOs come out I am going to do a clean install across all devices and computers. I hope that will help. If I figure anything out before then, I will post it here.
cheers, Otto.

Sep 13, 2016 10:29 AM in response to nightotterby nightotter,Hello, everyone. It seems the newest release of iTunes, version 12.5.1.21 fixes the problem I first noted here. When you click on Radio, you will first see the "Featured" stations you have listened to. At the top, there are 3 links to choose from: "Featured", "Beats 1" and "Stations". The "Stations" selection is what I (we) were missing.
cheers,
Otto
