Q: photo option is disabled on icloud settings

The photo setting on my iPhone under iCloud is on. Photo stream and library are also on. However when I go to the iCloud settings window on my pc, the photo option is darkened and uncheckable. My pc photo library and photo stream are not updating. I am using windows 10.

First, make sure you have room in your iCloud account to store additional content. On the phone, click settings, then general, then storage & iCloud usage. Verify that the iCloud account has enough space (the default, free setting is 5 GB. You can purchase additional space by choosing 'manage account') to store your photos.

If there is enough space, on the computer's iCloud panel, choose 'sign out' on the bottom left. Then sign back in again, making sure you're using the same Apple ID and password as you use on the phone.

I have 41.3 GB of storage. I only have one apple ID.  I have signed in and out. Still no option to save photos to iCloud.
