Q: iOS iPhone iCloud Reminders app Syncing issue

I have iPhone 6s Plus 64 GB with iOS 9.3.4

Since iOS 9, My iPhone reminders in Reminders app completed task not syncing perfectly with iCloud.

When I tick the Scheduled reminders as completed, it disappears and come back after few minutes !!.

What I do every day, switch the iCloud off with deleting the reminders from the iPhone, then switch it on again. The problem come again after 10 AM daily.

Apple support suggest to delete the reminders and add them manually. I find it is hard for me because my reminders lists and tasks is too long !!.

Please any solution ?

OMG !! You are right, I found that one of the App on my Mac and iOS was making the problem

First I check all my apps that could use the Reminders App.

Then I check my iOS on Setting > Privacy > Reminders ,I found nothing

I decide to check my Mac and I found that Airmail 3 App is using my Reminders App and it is already synced with my Airmail App on iOS through iCloud. I switch it off and wait until 10 AM next day.

    Until now everything working fine

Thank you so much for this hint.

    Bye

Unfortunately Mac is not my forte, Eric may be able to help you better or asking the same question on Mac forums.

If I had to guess, in order to function Reminders have to connect to server and some account didn't connect properly to some (not necessary icloud) server.

I do not know if that would help, but there is a way to find if extra set of reminders is coming from the icloud on your Mac or on your phone. One day around 9 AM you can sign out of icloud on the Mac and another day on the phone. See which one of those days extra set does not show up is not your source. But if we were correct and that is not icloud, you are back to point one...

    Hi

    I did what you said.

First day I switch off the Reminders on iPhone. It was working perfectly on Mac.

Second day I switch off the Reminders on Mac. The reminders on iPhone still pop up again even after marking it completed.

    Any Solutions, please ?

    Thank you

    Bye

I do not know if you want to do that, but I would backup the phone before going to sleep.

    Erase it.

Setup as new and leave overnight and then in the morning if at 10 those reminders do not show up, I would continue using as new.

You would lose everything on the phone, but photos can be uploaded to icloud photo library and contacts and calendars overnight will sync back from icloud. Apps can be downloaded later, but I would avoid any apps that have internal calendars capability that could interfere with icloud. That way if application that was giving you the "extra" set of events in on the phone (and not on the Mac as I thought originally) as the test that you did seem to point issue will be fixed.
