Q: How,do,I,eject,memory,cards,on,Mac,21.5,inch,Mid,2010?

How do eject memory cards on my iMac 21.5 inch Mid 2010.  Pulling on the tabs "gently" does not work.  I currently have 2 x 2gig memory cards installed.  i want to remove these and replace with 4 x 4, as per support, this is allowed.  I have the 4 new cards, but can't get the original 2 x 2's out.  Please help if you know how.

thanks!

It's normal to have to pull quite hard. You'll swear you're going to break something. Pull harder and be ready for the module to come loose suddenly (in other words don't hurt yourself).

Thank you John Galt.  I finally just pulled as hard as I could and they came loose.  Then putting the new ones in was a similar task, difficult to get in.  I am surprised with all the tugging and pulling...etc. that the machine came back on and seems to work fine now.  Thank you for your help!

Great! Now, keep the original memory cards in a safe place, such as in the same packaging the new ones came in. The reason is that if you should ever encounter a problem with your Mac that might be related to aftermarket memory, you would need to replace its original memory to eliminate that as a potential cause.
