Q: Can I get a iphone for free?

Since Apple is not here and we are all users like yourself, I doubt anyone is willing to give you a free iPhone.

Do what everybody else does when they want something, and save your money.

If you save 10 dollars every 2 weeks for a year you will have saved enough for a 64GB iPhone SE.

You could also try Apple's iPhone upgrade program if you have good credit rating and can make the monthly payments for it.

If you need a cell phone, and cannot afford an iPhone, then you need to look at less expensive alternatives. Simple really - live within your means, meaning you can acquire what you can afford. Merely because you cannot afford something does not mean you should get it for free.
