Q: Time Machine Not finding Time Capsule backup disk
My MBP is usually connected to my Time Capsule via ethernet. As long as it stays connected, my Time Machine successfully completes the scheduled backup jobs. However, if I disconnect my MBP to use it wirelessly, once I re-connect to the Time Capsule via ethernet, my Time Machine cannot find the backup disk. Only after unplugging the Time Capsule from the power source and re-plugging it back in does my MBP Time Machine then find the backup disk and run the job accordingly. Even at that, even though the backup job runs, the verification is never completed. It always hangs permanently at about 69% complete. I usually then just "skip verification". I am not experiencing any issues with internet connectivity via the Time Capsule router.
Are there some settings or something else I should be exploring? I'm tired of having to unplug/replug Time Capsule to get Time Machine to find the backup disk.
Thanks for any help,
David
