Q: ipad: Horizontal Lines on the screen

My iPad Air 2 has horizontal lines on the screen. I cannot even type in the passcode. I have 4 months left on the manufacturers warranty, is this something that is covered under the warranty or do I have to pay to get it fixed/replaced.

Just wondering if any of you had a similar experience with your iPad & how you resolved it. Any advise from the community/experts is greatly appreciated.
