Q: Cannot connect to the internet via iphone / ipad

I have a problem, in my home I uses a Airport Extreme as base and Airport Express as extension.

however, after a power off I cannot seems to get my iphone or ipad to connect to the internet via either the Airport Extreme or Airport Express.. But, when I use the iMac or the Macbook Pro, they were able to connect to the internet both via ethernet or wifi.

I have tried reset both the Extreme and Express and also reset both the the iphone 6plus and Ipad Pro

I am quite certain this is not a hardware issue on the iphone or the ipad as they can both connect to there Wifi spot.

Any help here?

    On both the iphone and ipad clear out all the existing wireless AP connections. Power it off and on again then rediscover the wireless.

     

    No luck then do a factory reset of the Extreme and Express.

     

    Reconfigure them with a new network and station name.. all names short, no spaces and pure alphanumerics. Bonus points for <10 characters.

    All passwords the same. >8 characters.

     

    Sometimes I found locking the wireless channel also seemed to help.. but the latest iOS upgrade could have something to do with it.
