Q: Apple TV remote stop working
I have a 2nd generation Apple TV which I used using iPhone's remote App.
My iPhone died, so I was forced to use the aluminum remote. The remote didn't worked. I hadn't used it for a long time, so the first idea was to replace the battery.
I replaced it and the remote starting working properly.
I was watching a Netflix movie, but I had to paused it. When I returned the Photo Stream Screen Saver was on.
I pressed Menu and got back to the movie, but it was paused. I pressed Play but nothing happened.
I restarted the Apple TV by unplugging the power cord, remote not working, just the Menu button.
After pressing other buttons, the Menu button will stop working (the Apple TV wont beep when pressing it). I have to remove the battery and reinstall it, so that the Menu button starts working again.
I have tried Un-Pairing and Pairing the remote. But When I press Menu + LEFT or RIGHT, I always get the Resolution screen where the Apple TV is trying new resolutions and you have the agree it looks good.
Finally, I tested the battery to verify voltage. It's OK.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
