We've taken quite a few videos over the years using the IPAD-2. What's the simplest way to transfer these video files to a Windows 10 computer?

OK, I followed your article and installed the Photo Gallery through Windows Essentials. However when I start the Photo Gallery it says the program can't start because Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition is missing. When I click the "Go to Download Center" button it takes me to a Microsoft page that no longer exists.

I suggest leaving your questions why you can't get this work at the Microsoft forums of contact area.
They are the only ones who will be able to assist you.
Apple has only conveniently supplied the Microsoft website links as a helpful aide to get PC users get started with their new iDevices.
Consult Microsoft directly if having difficulties with Windows and your Apple mobile devices.
