Q: Cannot play youtube videos after iOS 9.3.5 update.

Dear All,

I have problems with both my iPhone 6s Plus & iPad 4th Gen.

After successfully updated to iOS 9.3.5 both of my device could not play any videos on the youtube app.

The app opens up like normal, shows all the thumbnail like usual, but when i click any of the videos, it just shows the spinning ring, as if it was buffering, till it finally show "could not play the video".

All connection, both 4g & wifi works perfectly.

Anyone having the same problem like mine?

Have you tried any of the troubleshooting steps in this support article?

It is difficult to uninstall/reinstall Safari since it is automatically included in iOS.  The problem here is that videos would load before the 9.3.5 update, but after the update they do not.  This includes any and all youtube, vine, twitter, vimeo, etc.  Nothing plays, no matter if you are on wifi or 4g/LTE.  Restarting the phone does not work.  Clearing website data does not work.  Refreshing the page does not work.  There seems to be a problem with 9.3.5 loading videos.  I've even tried using Firefox and Chrome apps and videos do not load on those apps either.

You are most certainly correct. However, the OP was asking about the YouTube App. FWIW, I am running iOS 9.3.5 on three different devices and have no issues at all playing videos from any source, browser or app.
