Aug 29, 2016 6:52 AM in response to macgabeby macgabe,Yes, I may be using the wrong word, but that is not what I mean.
I know that by clicking on A3, you will see A1 and A2 highlighted.
But I need the reverse process: I want to click on A1 and see what it is used in (i.e. A3).
The reason is that my spreadsheet contains thousands of cells with hundreds of links. I can't go through every cell to see what refers back to A1.
This Excel help shows the difference between precedents and dependents: https://support.office.com/en-ie/article/Display-the-relationships-between-formu las-and-cells-a59bef2b-3701-46bf-8ff1-d3…

Aug 29, 2016 7:57 AM in response to macgabeby SGIII,Tracing dependencies Excel-style is not a feature built into Numbers.
However, you can easily achieve much of the functionality via a script (no AppleScript knowledge needed; just copy-paste and click.)
See this thread.
If the script isn't doing exactly what you want, just post.
