Q: Make high resolution photos on Mac OS X 10.11.6

I need to increase the resolution of photos I have on my Mac and adjust their size. How do I do that?

    You would need to use a 3rd party application for that.

     

    What are you trying to do, you can increase the resolution in a 3rd party app, but it won't make the photo any clearer at larger sizes.

    You can use third party software to increase the pixel size but it will not make the photo clearer - it will make it less clear and is not generally a good idea - if you need higher resolution you need to start with higher resolution - after the photos is shot you can decrease resolution but you can not increase it - he additional data needed to increase it does not exist

     

    If you have a ten foot board you can cut it down to a smaller board but you can not make it a larger board except by nailing o screwing another board onto it - same for a Photo, you can not make it larger except by jury rigging the additional onto it
