Q: How to copy from contacts to numbers

I am using OS X El Capitan and unabl to copy from contacts to numbers as I previously did with just drag and drop. Can this done anymor?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), OS X El Capitan version 10.11.6

    Yes -- I just tried it. OS X 10.11.6; Numbers 3.6.2; Contacts 9.0

    I agree with FoxFifth it can still be done.

     

    I just selected 3 of my contacts and dragged them onto a blank table in Numbers and they populated 3 rows with appropriate column headings.

    top copy contacts to any application the destination application MUST be added to the list of applications allowed to access contact.  This is done in "System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy":

    select "Contacts" on the left, then make sure Numbers is enabled (or allowed) to access contact information

    On my machine (Numbers 3.6.2, OS X 10.11.6) I seem to be able to click and drag from Contacts to Numbers whether or not I have 'Numbers.app' checked at System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Contacts.

     

    I see some former bugs involving dragging entries from Contacts with images have been squashed.
