Q: network connection

When I try to get into the iTunes store I keep getting the same error message that reads " iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. Make sure your network connection is active and try again." My internet connection is fine, so I do not understand why I can not connect. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
